Attending to the Little Things.

A man goes on a father and son outing with his two sons. They spend all day together doing activities and finish off with a movie. While watching the movie the youngest son falls asleep. Once the movie is over the father picks the son up, covers him in his jacket, and tucks him in. He then looks over at his older son who is already in bed with his back towards him. He goes over and notices his eyes welling up with tears. The father then asks his son what is wrong. The boy answers, “Daddy, if I were cold, would you put your coat around me, too?” Of all the events of that special night out together, the most important was a little act of kindness- a momentary , unconscious showing of love to his little brother.  In relationships, the little things are the big things.

Eww.

Hola!

So I work with little children, the oldest being 6, and yesterday something really grossed happened. I was sitting down on the floor watching a movie with the kids. Usually when we sit on the floor with them they thin its an invitation to sit on our laps. So there I was sitting on the floor with two kids trying to sit on my lap.

After a while I go lost watching the movie and noticed they were no longer tugging at me to sit on my lap which is when I turned my head to see...

One of the kids chewing on my hair. That's why he had been so quiet. When I asked him why he had done it he said "it's so soft and looks like spaghetti."

I know what your thinking how did you not notice that?? Well my hair is pretty long and I was really into the movie.

By the way.. that's not me.
Have a great day!

Spring 2013

Today was my first day back to school after the winter break. This is my last semester before I am considered a senior! Oh my.

I had two classes and bumped into a few friends while walking to class. Props for being a junior I suppose, you know more people.

Today's bill:
$120 Parking pass upgrade
(The lot I usually park in has been blocked off due to construction, restricting parking on       campus by at least 99.99%)
$45 Gym locker (because I dare myself to just throw that money away by not using the recreation      center at my university)
$35 Gas
----------------
$200 for the first day back not including books.

Oh and there is also a book I need for a class which the teacher is currently writing. I'll let you guys know how that works out.

WOO!! Spring 2013 Semester Baby!!
